If you take North Harbor Drive off
Highway One in Fort Bragg, and follow
the curving road into the harbor, you will
discover the myriad attractions of this
snug fishing village.
Among the sights are the colorful
fishing, pleasure and excursion boats. In
March, of particular interest are the excursion boats that take whale watchers out to
view the migrating gray whales. From the
vantage point of these boats, whale watchers not only get a first-hand, up-close view,
they get expert instruction on the whales’
habits, migrating patterns and history.
