WINE COUNTRY
Fall is a beautiful time to explore Mendocino’s state-of-the-art
breweries and wineries as the grapes are harvested and begin being trans-
formed into renowned wines. Warm sun and magnificent autumn colors will
welcome you as you drive among the vineyards. Through a strong regional
emphasis on organic grape growing, skilled winemaking and an active wine-
growers’ alliance, Mendocino County wines have gained great acclaim and
worldwide distribution. Many of the wineries offer tours and many provide
pleasant picnic facilities near the vineyards where you can stop to rest.
