Scharffenberger Cellars
The history of SCHARFFENBERGER
CELLARS began in 1981 in the heart of
Anderson Valley. In 1998 the name was
changed to Pacific Echo and the winery
was sold in 2004. The tradition-minded
new owners restored the original brand
name. Tex Sawyer, winemaker since 1989,
continues to manage the winemaking
program, maintaining the consistency of
the quality and the original philosophy
behind the winemaking. Scharffenberger
sells both Brut MV and Extra Dry sparkling wines. They also offer Pinot Noir
and Chardonnay still wines at their tasting
room, where the art exhibit changes every
