Anderson Valley is a hidden treasure of pastoral beauty, colorful history and bountiful food
and drink. Follow scenic Highway 128 through the towns of Yorkville, Boonville, Philo and
Navarro, past grazing sheep, orchards and vineyards, and rolling hills studded with oaks.
Mild weather and rich soil make Anderson Valley an excellent region for growing wine
grapes, and a horn of plenty of other fruits and vegetables.
Along the way, visit the tasting rooms of award-winning wineries, sample beer at the local
brewery, or try some of the local produce at a roadside stand or one of the valley’s many unique
eateries. Local lodging includes cozy B&B’s, fine inns and resort cabins. There are some unique
and charming shops along the way as well.
Annual events in the valley include Spring’s annual Legendary Boonville Beer Festival, May’s
Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival, and September’s Mendocino County Fair and Apple
Show.
